Problem Solving Initiatives

Parents, throughout the year we will be actively engaging in problem solving exercises to develop the children's maths. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning I will pose a maths problem to the class to which they will have to work out during the day in their spare time. Please encourage these mental maths problem solving activities at home, during weekends, school breaks, etc. to develop and enhance the children's maths. There are lots of various websites (such as www.teachingideas.co.uk/maths/contents_problemsolving.htm  ) where you can access such problem solving activities, riddles, etc. Most importantly, the children really enjoy working them out and they are always learning from doing them!
